Listening to People, Reducing the Heat in the Room,
Helping You Build Your Own Effective Resolutions

Listening to People

Mediation works when the mediators listen!
Really Listen!

It's the best way to understand each of the participants and to help you identify your mediation goals.

Reducing the
Heat in the Room

Through mediation, and especially online, we offer a safe and neutral environment, fostering constructive dialogue.

During mediation we offer both private and together sessions with the participants.  With everyone committed to building forwards in a mediation, we often find that tensions and apprehensions diminish independent of any agreement.

Helping You Build Your Own
Effective Resolutions

Facilitating a conversation, asking pertinent questions, mediation is a trusted process to explore and imagine options.  It presents an open and creative toolbox for you to find your best way forward.

Together the participants own the process.  With studied neutrality and absolute confidentiality, we will help you identify what can work for you.

About MediationWorks

Jeremy Lawrence has over 30 years’ experience in dispute resolution and recently completed formal accreditation as a Mediator in Civil & Commercial, Workplace & Employment disputes.  He is also on the SEND Register as a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Mediator.

He will steer you through your mediation from application through to conclusion.

Mediation is a completely confidential process where the participants agree to have a series of conversations looking to resolve their problem.

Sometimes, these conversations will take place with all the participants together.  Sometimes the mediator will take turns meeting with just one of the participants at a time.

Jeremy brings unique experience and expertise to Faith Sensitive Mediations. Follow this link for further details.

How MediationWorks Online

At MediationWorks Online, we offer a fully resourced suite of virtual rooms, giving you the opportunity to meet

  • Privately with your partner/adviser,
  • Confidentially with the Mediator and
  • Together with the other participants when it is appropriate.

From the comfort of home, your study or a friend's place, there's none of the hassle, time or costs of travel and parking.

You just need a laptop/pc/phone or tablet that is charged and connected to the internet.

MediationWorks Online:  Whether the sessions are together or private, we will be meeting in virtual Zoom Rooms - so you can participate from the comfort of home, your study or a friend's place.

Over the course of the conversations, we will look for common ground and try to identify what can work to your satisfaction.

MediationWorks Offline

Mediation in person has advantages and disadvantages.

Sometimes, it seems harder to face the other participants at the beginning of the process, so it may feel a little more stressful at the start.

Even if we are all in the same premises, an in-person mediation does not mean that you will ever have to be in the same room as other participants.  It is very normal for the mediator to shuttle between participants' rooms, looking for common ground.

In person, feeling the mood change in the room, and possibly a real handshake at the end, can be a real plus.

We are able to offer mediation in confidential premises, if this is everyone's preferred option.

Additional costs to cover room hire and mediator's travel will need to be discussed in advance.

Testimonials

Patient... Effective... Unpacks the Issues... a Safe Pair of Hands...

I observed Jeremy co-mediate a civil law dispute at the Royal Courts of Justice in London, for a matter that had been listed for trial. The participants had agreed to mediate to see if a solution could be achieved without a trial.

Jeremy patiently explained the mediation process to the participants. Throughout the mediation he continually worked effectively with his co-mediator. In particular, he demonstrated well-timed summarizing skills and the ability to unpack the issues. I felt the participants were at all times in a safe pair of hands.

Thanking you for your clarity in explaining the mediation process ahead of the mediation.

I'm very grateful for your professional management in establishing the mediation... the neutrality, confidentiality and discretion.
